SIMONCAT- A Simple Open Source Monitor and Manager for Tomcat's Web Applications

This project is a open source solution that allows web applications deployment on a tomcat instalation, as well monitoring the state of multiple tomcat instalations. It works through the attempt to execute programmed events at specific times on the servers in order to test their working or send to them a restarting event if necessary.

The main advantages over similar solutions are its simplicity and its flexibility. The system uses XML format to store information about servers and web applications in the file system without using any additional data layer, on the premise, that using or an additional data layer that is located on the server or a remote server could compromise its fiability.

One new version adapted as a mobile app that is focused on the new mobile OS Systems (HTML5) that recently have been released, such as FirefoxOS or Tizen, is being developed, so you will be able to monitorize your stack of applications servers using your mobile device.
